The next AR book test will be due Dec. 20, 2018.  The book needs to be worth at least 4 points or it may be worth more than 4 points. 

 

ELA:

Monday:  Bellwork:    Point of view recognition (task cards)

              Before reading questions:  Sounder                 

              Make sure Study Island lesson on Text structure and point of view is completed today                                 

Tuesday:  Bellwork:  Part of speech  – color graph

               Reading – Sounder Chp 1,  discussion, story elements, Plot, characters, vocabulary

            

Wednesday:  Bellwork:  Apostrophes review – using them in a sentence to show ownership

                    Reading – Completing chp1 worksheets – comprehension, discussion, vocabulary

                                    Sounder Chp 2,   Read.                                                                      

Thursday:  Bellwork   Using cards to show answer, provide different types of text structure to allow groups to discuss the types of structure and decide upon correct choice.  (use wksts 41-44)

                Reading – Complete chp 2 worksheets – comprehension, vocabulary                                                   

Friday:  Bellwork – Unstoppable you!      

            Reading – Sounder – Chp 3, discuss different elements within the text

                            worksheets on chapter 3.

          The students will read a book of their choice  ( must have a book to read)
